Q. Is there a minimum level of fitness required to start training?

A. No. Our workouts and exercises can be scaled to any level. We’ve had everyone from grandmothers and aunties to kids and adults that are morbidly obese.

Q. What if I have injuries or health issues?

A. The owner comes from a medically based fitness background and has developed programming and an environment that is safe and highly effective for everyone! We also have a Doctor of Physical Therapy on staff to offer further therapeutic solutions.

Q. How do I start?

A. Come on down for a FREE class to get a taste of CrossFit workouts to see if CrossFit Greenville is good fit for you. We would be happy to schedule a session or tour at a time that's right for you. Please contact us for more info!

Q. The FREE Sample class was great, how do I join as a member?

A. We will get you set up at the gym or via email/phone. We will mutually decide if a foundations course is right for you and how many sessions you need.

Q. What should I expect my first couple of weeks?

A. Expect to train at a VERY moderate pace. We want you to learn the basic mechanics of everything FIRST, then be consistent in those mechanics, then bump up the intensity ONLY after mastering the first 2 key points.

Expect to be sore. There is no way to get around it. This is normal, and proof that you are working hard breaking down muscle fibers during your workout. It is during your rest periods between classes that your muscles will build up even stronger. You can help speed the recovery process by drinking plenty of water, getting adequate sleep (8+hours a night), and with proper nutrition.

Whatever you do, don’t stop training just cause you are sore. It is good to take a rest day or to come back and take the next workout light if you need to. The main thing is to keep moving to flush the lactic acid out of the muscle, which is causing you to be ‘sore’. Keep your head up and know that with practice, consistency, and determination, you WILL reach your goals. If you believe you CAN, you WILL!

Q. Can I bring my kids to class?

A. YES! We know how important it is to keep up your own training while still living the reality of being a parent. We make sure to accommodate children by offering CrossFit Kids coaching and by having an area for them to hang out! All we ask is that you read and sign the parent agreement and liability waiver.

Q. Will CrossFit make me bulky?

A. In short, NO. Not unless you want it to! We will help you meet your individual goals regardless of your body type or experience level.

Q. Do you do private sessions?

A. Absolutely. Contact Us for more info or to set something up.

Q. Do you take credit cards?

A. Yup! We take all of the following: cash, debit, VISA, Mastercard, and American Express .

Q. How much is a membership?

A. We have a variety of flexible choices, but CrossFit’s value cannot be determined simply by looking at the price. Come in for a FREE sample class, and leave will all the information you’ll need to make the right decision for your health and fitness!

Q. Do you sell t-shirts, stickers, and other stuff?

A. Of course. Come on in and check out our gear!

Q. Can I just come and work out on my own?

A. Yes, but only if you are a current member, and only during open gym or other class times by checking in with the coach present and following the house rules.
